General Terms of Business (AGB)

Your purchase is based on our general terms of business:

1. All prices are in Euro and include value added tax. We charge additional shipment costs (details under "Shipping costs") Prices are subject to alteration. When ordering from our internet shop, you are given the relevant price.
2. All deliveries are carried out by registered mail or as "Cash-on-delivery" shipment. The delivered goods remain our property until they have been completely paid.
3. On principle we do not exchange goods once purchased. Defected goods or wrong deliveries have to be claimed within 10 days after delivery date. You will receive then information about how and when returning the goods. Unfranked shipments will no be accepted. ORIENTE EXPRESS is entitled to charge compensation if the returns are damaged or if the goods have been used (§ 361a II German Civil Code). If the returns arrive properly, ORIENTE EXPRESS will refund the already charged amounts and the costs involved in the return. Please don't try to charge back credit card payments or direct debits through your bank, because this results in enormous costs.
4. Your personal data will be treated confidentially and used and stored exclusively for dealing with your purchase.
5. Place of performance and jurisdiction shall be Berlin. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany applies for all legal business with ORIENTE EXPRESS.

The following cancelling rights are valid only in Germany and the countries of the European Union.

According to the German law governing remote sales you have cancelling rights. You are not bound to your order if you return the goods within a certain period (14 days in Germany, 10 days in the European Union) after having received the CDs. The cancellation does not require any explanation and has to be made in written form, on a durable data carrier or by returning the goods. Please send back the goods in time to: ORIENTE EXPRESS, Stubenrauchstr. 50, D-12161 Berlin. We will refund the payments which have already been made after having received the returned goods. Please don't try to charge back credit card payments or direct debits through your bank, because this results in enormous costs.
You are obliged to return the goods - at our risk - if this has not already been made when sending us your written cancellation. The shipment costs have to be paid by you in case of returns, if the quantity of the order and the returned goods does not exceed the amount of EUR 40.
The cancelling right does not come into effect if you open or damage the sealed packaging of the goods.
