The second Berlin Edition CD is dedicated to the winners of the "Multicultural Music Prize". This prize is awarded at two year intervals at the Berlin "Musica Vitale" festival to vocal or instrumental musicians and groups in and around Berlin who are involved in traditional and contemporary styles of World Music. This sampler shows the wide musical spectrum of World Music currently on offer in Berlin. At the same time it demonstrates a fascinating cross section of European, Asian, African and Latin American music.
